    This cup warmer has 5 heat settings, I usually have it on mid level 3 which keeps your beverage hot enough without burning your tongue when you drink it, but if your cuppa has gone tepid, level 4 or 5 heats it up surprisingly quickly to a hot temperature - if you spill a little on the plate at level 3 it will take a while to evaporate but level 4 it will start boiling away within seconds. The control is easy enough - just tap to turn on and tap again until you reach the setting you want, once its at 5 then tapping it again turns it off. The unit will switch itself off after 8 hours, seems a long time but I use mine at my bedside and like having a couple of mouthfuls of a hot drink if I wake in the middle of the night and it is still drinkable in the morning (rooibos infusion rather than black tea which may become bitter after so long). Useful for heating up other things too that you can't bung in the microwave, golden syrup from a tin for baking is one example, or warming honey that has solidified. Pricier than some others I considered but it is worth every penny since I wasted money on a USB one that was useless.

    I wanted something that would heat up milk for my coffee. Set at setting number 5 and after thirty five minutes the milk is just right. It's not boiling but very hot. The instructions are a bit vague but just run your finger over the marked spot to adjust the settings.
    Also make sure you use a heavy enough flat bottom cup as the underneath gravity switch we'll not activate. Iets be clear as to the wattage, at setting numbers 5 starts off at about 180w and after about 35 minutes comes down to 66w on my plug display. Can also be used as a plate Warmer. I'm pleased with my purchase.

    One of the main reasons I got this was for the auto-off. This feature failed to do what it was supposed to. When the cup is removed, the heat should turn off due to the weight coming off the the button underneath the unit. I've had these kinds before, and they worked great. This did not work. The weight of the unit itself is enough to keep the underside button depressed, so that the heat stays on whether or not there's a cup on it. Poor engineering in this case. There are other Auto-off warmers. I'd suggest you shop for another if that feature is what you want.

    I wanted a direct replacement of my previous 250 watt warmer when it finally died after many years constant use and abuse, but I could no longer obtain it.
    This Kuiloapt at 50w is the most powerful one I could now find.
    My previous one had been extra useful because the heat could be raised enough to scramble an egg in a metal mug, or heat a cold cup of tea to drinking temperature in about 10 mins, so I miss being able to this. However, on max heat this warmer keeps my tea/coffee as hot as I like it. In the past I have tried many other highly recommended warmers, but at 20w or (much...) less they were ineffective for me.
